What does it mean to live a healthy life? Is it simply eating well and working out at the gym? Or is there more to it? A small exhibit on display at Russell's Atelier Art Gallery in West Seneca will feature artwork from area artists that will take you on a journey of discovery. The ArtistsLucette Banas is a member of the West Seneca Art Society and is a member of Partners in Art in North Tonawanda where she teaches acrylic landscape painting in the style of the Hudson River School of Art and does professional custom picture framing.
Colleen Darby worked for three years as an artist in residence at Women's & Children's Hospital. She worked with patients and families in healthcare settings to use the arts to help facilitate healing. She also has held workshops called "the Art of Healing", to help people find their creative place. Her paintings are inspired by her work at the hospital and her goal is to provide people with hope. Heidi Zanelli is a member of the West Seneca Art Society. She has worked professionally as a graphic designer for M&T Bank. Heidi works in acrylic and does commissioned pet portraits. A favorite quote of Heidi's is "I feel that there is nothing more truly artistic than to love people." - Vincent Van Gogh Mary Claire uses vivid color, thick lines, simple raw imagery, and her imagination to create expressive paintings for the bold impassioned soul. She is compelled to paint to express the creative innocence she once had as a child. This freedom of expression allows her to use her emotion, imagination, and creativity without any inhibitions. She paints intuitively using symbols to tell stories and create spirited portraits of women to promote love, healing, and awareness through art. Diane Beem Wright is a member of the West Seneca Art Society. She has worked in advertising as a graphic designer and art director and is nurturing her love of fine art. She is also a health coach, studying nutrition at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in NYC. As organizer of The Art of Healthy Living Exhibit, she is combining her love of art and her love of health coaching. Lynn Lombardo is a fine artist creating abstract and non objective art in ink, oil and mixed media. Her primary goal is expression within a creative realm and to show that the representation of culture is ever changing. Russell Cleversley is known as The Pixel Artisan. His beautiful and amazing paintings are done freehand...on a computer, in Adobe Photoshop! Russ is an expert in digital fine art, and is also a perfectionist in his role as a printer of giclee prints. Russ is the owner of Russell's Atelier Art Gallery and Center Page Advertising and Printing. |
